Who is eligible for a long service award?
When are employees
eligible to join the pension scheme?
Managers are eligible to join the pension scheme after 3 complete
months' service; all other employees are eligible after 12 months'
completed service.
How do employees apply for
the Company pension scheme?
Pension invites are automatically sent out from Payroll Department
with all the relevant documentation including a handbook explaining
the scheme.
If an employee does not join the pension scheme when they are invited,
but wishes to do so at a later date, they will have to write to
the Payroll Department who can arrange for this to happen. If it
is 3 months after the original invite date they will need to be
medically underwritten (full details would be provided to the employee
at the time).
How do employees apply for
Healthcare?
Department Managers and Above
All employees of department manager status and above are entitled
to free medical insurance for themselves (Their spouse / partner
and family may also be eligible). The Company reserves the right
to alter the supplier of Medical Insurance and to amend the level
of cover provided.
All Other Employees
A separate Scheme is available to all employees . Employees get
preferential rates by applying through the Company.
What are stakeholder
pensions?
Stakeholder pensions are another name for personal pensions. Companies
are now obliged to offer access to a pension scheme. If they do
not offer a Company scheme; then they must operate a stakeholder
pension.
Does the Company offer a
stakeholder pension?
Jardine Motors Group offers a Company pension instead of a private / stakeholder
pension. Employees are entitled to join this scheme as well as having
their own private pension.
How do employees purchase
a car through the employee purchase scheme?
Having found a car to purchase, employees should complete the car
purchase form and then go to their line manager. The Divisional
Director is responsible for authorising the request depending on
the vehicle required and the stock availability etc.
Who is eligible for a long
service award?
Employees who have completed (based on length of service with Jardine
Motors Group and any companies it has aquired):
10 years - 15 years
20 years - 25 years
30 years - 35 years
40 years - 45 years
Catalogues are then given to employees in order that they can choose
a gift.
